What to check in a Kajabi template demo

A practical desktop and mobile review checklist for comparing template demos before buying.

Follow a complete visitor journey

Start at the demo entry page and follow the route a customer would take to understand the offer. Look for a clear headline, readable supporting information and an obvious next step. Demo buttons may be illustrative rather than connected to a working checkout; check the product description for what is included.

Check the smallest screen first

Open the demo on a phone as well as a desktop. Look for clipped headings, horizontal scrolling, tiny text and controls that are difficult to tap. Check a long page all the way to the bottom. A desktop screenshot cannot tell you how the navigation or lesson layout will feel on a phone.

Review the content you will replace

Identify photographs, icons, video, testimonials and sample copy that belong to the demo. Plan your own replacements and confirm asset rights before publishing. Replace example claims with statements you can support. If the design relies on a large video, prepare an appropriate poster image and consider how visitors on a slow connection will experience it.

Record questions before purchasing

Keep a short comparison note with the product name, the page you inspected and the exact feature you need clarified. Ask whether the package supports that requirement and whether additional setup is needed. Use the published documentation and license alongside the preview rather than treating the preview as a promise of every possible feature.
